King Khan & BBQ show - redux

So I was a little off with my claims of a re-launch... how many months has it been? i'm not back quite yet.

there's finally an edited version of that king khan & bbq footage from the silver dollar. Aldo from www.tobescene.com edited this footage together (cameras by Aldo, Rick & myself). this is not the full show, and unfortunately is missing some of the craziness from later in the set.

Re-launch!

Some of you keep asking me if i'm going to post again. The answer is yes. I'm plannign on re-launchign the site within the next 2 weeks. I starting posting videos with the deadly snakes. I figure it's onlyl fitting that i re-launch with footage from the last ever show (the day after the official one that was recorded). the entirety of my footage (basically the first 30 minutes because i didn't think they'd play longer) is available on youtube if you want to see it. I'll be posting a few of my fave clips from that though i guess if people have requests of which clips they'd like posted they can comment here.
i'l follow that up with some King Khan & BBQ Show. and yes there's a little teaser i posted on youtube as well - i hope that one will eventually be edited with footage from 2 other cameras. that might eventually be posted on www.tobescene.com. the same goes for the next video on youtube which is of the mnysterious bush league. the tobescene crew also filmed that show, but also did a studio video for bush league. you can check out the audio on tobesscene's myspace (my band also has a track up there).

technical difficulties

im having technical difficulties with ourmedia so i've been posting stuff to youtube the last week

i'll be working this summer on putting together the footage from various cameras for conical revolution. other stuff should be posted fairly regularly

i now have a youtube account and am in the process of uploading all my old videos so if for whatever reason stuff isn't working on here you can always watch them there. it's a little less involved so stuff might get posted there a day or 2 earlier. because i can post larger files there i might also directly link to something from time to time.

last weekend i filmed a show at a friend's goin away party - members of anagram abnd bush league joined forces to do a 30 minute set of flipper covers. there were 2 other guys filming and all our footage is being edited together. you could consider this a teaser of sorts. there's also the possibility that there is an official audio release of this show. more information later.

it turns out that someone is reposting my stuff on youtube it's funny what a good night's sleep will do. i was pretty pissed off when i found out, but really all i wanted was people to see my videos. consider this a chance to see one of the first videos i posted without searching for it. youtube

chimichanga rock n roll 10/12/04

this wasn't supposed to be a once-a-month blog. i'm hoping that will change as soon as i'm used to my new job/new schedule. i haven't had much time lately.

this is actually something i found on my computer - who knows how long it's been there. the footage is old too, from the very first boyfriend material concert, opening for the neurotic swingers. chimichanga was a last minute fill-in for the midways, one of whom fell off a roof. no joke. on this night chimichanga borrowed guitars from boyfriend material... and had problems all night. one guitar kept cuttin out, so he switched to an old cheapie that also cut out (when he hit the toggle switches) or just plain sounded outta tune and quiet. he impressively made do. this is the only accident-free footage of the night if i remember correctly.
dan vila aka chimichanga is also guitarist for bush league (check out their upcoming 10" on yakisakana) and no dynamics. chimichanga has now morphed into a duo (chimichanga and the organ of xtabay) and perhaps is over with completely (replaced with the full band disgrimination).
