OFFICIALLY ON HIATUS

Real life intervenes.
I haven't been able to find the password for this account until now, so I could hide old posts.
Sadly Youtube has decreased the quality of my videos without notifying me, and I consider them unwatchable (I didn't pixellate them myself.) They also didn't look like that after I originally uploaded them. What gives?
If I ever find time to re-upload content to a new site, I'll un-hide posts as it happens. There's still tons of content I've never posted anywhere. It'll just have to wait.

the Deadly Snakes 7/15/05

right/control-click to pirate this video

In case you're wondering why the image isn't steady - I was shaking my ass while drinking lotsa beer and standing on a chair. You try it. Also people, learn that red lights are bad for filming.
This was the best I've seen the deadly snakes in a few years when I drove a few hours to see them at the Trasheteria (Peterborough). Don't get me wrong, they're always fun but this was great.
Pirate Cowboy is old, but featured some craziness from Max Danger.

You may have seen the footage from Prices Going Down floating around online... that's from this show too.

lo-fi stlouis +

so i stumbled onto this blog thanks to the garagepunk.com message boards. it's similar to what i'm planning on here. i haven't really looked around, so maybe if anyone is reading this, you can let me know what it's like.
http://lofistl.com
also on the update front...
i filmed the entire Deadly Snakes (they are planning their first website apparently) set from friday at the horseshoe. expect something from that to be the first thing i post. as soon as i can get a new computer... then also some mirrors stuff from tomorrow night.
i'm hoping ot eventuall post footage from: (the creeping nobodies, martyrs, demons claws, ugly stick, the rat traps, anagram, brutal knights, bush league, leather uppers, no dynamics.) some of it i already have and its' just a matter of getting it on my computer, other stuff will be happening soon.
also seeing as i won't be posting footage all the time, dan vila, formerly of trucker magazine might be posting some writing - i have no idea what or when.

bedazzled

this morning i came across a nice find: 2 sister websites (scopitiones.com and bedazzled)dealing with old music and videos.. specifically scopitones. i thought it would be nice to post something, considering i won't be posting any of my video footage until the beginning of august.

the 2 sites have a wealth of 60s videos from world wide (though much of the content seems to be repeated). i was especially pleased to find a few Os Mutantes videos (unfortunately they, and other older videos, were unavailable due to a server change).

what's a scopitone? i was curious myself. according to scopitones.com, it was an early music video player ( a "film jukebox") made of leftover airplane parts. the add on the right gives you an idea of what they looked like. that ad is canadian, though they were invented in france. i guess they were fairly widespread?

#1 - intro

this is goin to be a vlog - as soon as i get my new mac in the next few weeks.
i'll post the odd video segment from shows i go to (and film).
in the meantime, if you're curious about the shows i'll be going to, check stillepost
i'll probably start with old footage i've shot over the last 2 years, even though some of it is hilariously bad.
